What else? St. Petersburg’s Saturday Morning Market leaves Al Lang Stadium for the summer after this weekend.

TATTOO YOU: Tropical Impressions

Since Memorial Day weekend signals the beginning of summer, a tiki-themed party and art show is right on time. But this one is for an interesting cause. Tropical Impressions was organized by the Bricks, Atomic Tattoos and Amigo Tattoo as a fundraiser to bring tattoo supplies and equipment to Cuba. Tattooing is illegal there, but since that never stops anyone, Amigo Tattoo developed a relationship with Cuban artists to bring them the proper tools to ensure safe tattooing practices. So throw on your Hawaiian shirts and sarongs and get down to the Bricks, where you can dance to the surf rock sounds of Twisty Chris and the Puddin’ Packs and the Wrenchers. There will be raffles for $100 worth of gift cards and other prizes. Free. 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday. 1327 E Seventh Ave., Tampa. (813) 247-1785. thebricksybor.com.

EMERALD CITY: Weekend sales

Nerds of all ages can beef up their collections on the cheap thanks to sales at Emerald City Comics this weekend. The store starts things off from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday with its popular yard sale, including deep discounts on back issue comics, toys, books, game and collectibles. Sunday and Monday bring 10 percent discounts on all graphic novels, books and gaming supplies. Free. Noon-6 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday. 4902 113th Ave N., Clearwater. (727) 398-2665. emeraldcitycomics.com.

SIGN OF SUMMER: Saturday Morning Market

Another sign of summer comes when the St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market moves to Williams Park for the season. That won’t happen until June 1, but this weekend is the last market in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium until October. Started in 2002, the market has grown to more than 170 vendors and developed a distinct neighborly vibe. Where else do you get a cross-section of strollers, dreadlocks, canes, high heels, tattoos, balloon hats, purple hair and Bermuda shorts? Come hungry — besides the produce, plants and artsy items, there are loads of ready-to-eat foods including Greek, German, Cuban, Mexican, Ecuadoran, Thai, Ethiopian, Cajun and vegetarian. There will be live music in the center of the market by the Urban Gypsies. Free. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 230 First St. SE. saturdaymorningmarket.com.
